How does SommAI access my product catalog?
You provide a product feed URL in Google Shopping / BetterSEO format during setup. The URL is stored securely on your license server-side — it never appears in your website's HTML or reaches your visitors' browsers.
What ecommerce platforms are supported?
Commerce7, WooCommerce, and eCellar are supported natively with full cart integration. The widget itself works on any WordPress site regardless of ecommerce platform — the cart button simply won't appear without a configured provider.
Does SommAI store my customers' data?
No. Search queries are processed in real-time by Claude and discarded immediately. SommAI does not build visitor profiles, store search history, or track individual users.
What AI model powers the recommendations?
Claude by Anthropic — the same AI behind Claude.ai. We chose it for its ability to understand nuanced, context-rich wine language and provide thoughtful, specific recommendations rather than generic keyword matches.
How is this different from site search?
